We got our first Hudson Bay wool blanket today, I like to use one as a topper on my side of the bed and up till now I have been using a American made blanket made by Pendelton in Oregon. But I have been wanting a better Hudson Bay one and I was able to get a 3 1/2 point A-1 multi stripe blanket that was made in the 1920's . And best of all it was for what I consider a steal deal at $ 44.95 shipping included.
As you can see the yellow stripe is very light, this is normal with a A-1 blanket just look for that and a A-1 seal.
Blankets from later in the 1920's had a larger A-2 seal and the yellow stripe was plain to see.
This site is all about camping and camping gear and our activities while camping. I will talk about camp sites, camping gear, our camp trailer mods, and our camping trips.

Door latch on camp trailer
We have the standard plastic "T" latch on our trailer and the latch side has already been ripped out of the wall by the wind, I repaired that by replacing the screws with hollow wall anchors and this helped.
But I still didn't care for the T style latch so I added a spring loaded door holder also.
Now we have both and can use either one or both at the same time for on windier days.

Repairs and upgrades that I made on our last camping trip
I took the opportunity to make some repairs to our exterior lights on our last camping trip, I replaced our burned out exterior door light and the light on the front of our trailer that was damaged by flying mud.
I upgraded to LED lights.

A granite mtn in the Bighorns
For a few years now we have been going to a camp spot in the Bighorn Mtns that no one else ever seems to want and I keep looking at this mountain of granite.
Well this time I had to go to it and get up close, and it was a chore. I have never seen so many down trees blocking your path till this hike. I found one end of the mtn pretty easy.
But I wanted the higher area and couldn't even see it through the trees. I finally found a way to the top and the view was worth it.
First was our camp site.
