We added reflectix to our windows both to make the trailer darker for sleeping and to conserve heat.
We just put them in before bed and take them down in the morning and store them above our kitchen cabinets.
I also added a door alarm for extra security, I bought a 2 pack for our pop up trailer and now have a use for it.
This site is all about camping and camping gear and our activities while camping. I will talk about camp sites, camping gear, our camp trailer mods, and our camping trips.

2019 camping page
I have updated our camping page for this year so it is now current. I really want another 4 night trip it will give us 30 days this year. First I have to fix my broken truck transmission and the broken refrigerator vent from this trip.
Conserving water
We started putting our fold-able camp sinks in our kitchen sink this trip and it saved us approximately 3 gallons of fresh water this trip and that was 3 gallons not in our gray water tank freeing up more room for shower water. Like our last trip we started out with our 48 gallon fresh tank full and we had 22 gallons extra with us, and after 9 nights we still had about 8-9 gallons left when we broke camp.
We still need to conserve more or haul more water with us if we want to be able to stay any where for the 14 day limit.

August camping trip to the Bighorn Mountains
We went for 9 nights and were in 2 camp sites.
We had a very nice double rain bow full length on both, this pic doesn't do it justice.
And we did some damage.
More pics and post to come later today.

Catching rain water
We added extended gutter mounts to let rain water come off farther away from the trailer and I put a 5 gal bucket under one spout before a rain storm and caught about 2 gals of water, not much but that was toilet water that didn't have to come out of our fresh water tank.

Odd things you find while roaming around in the mountains
On our last trip I was running around in our Rhino one day looking for other camp sites when I saw this sign.
So I drive down the road and I see a few camp sites and the I come around a corner through the trees and I see this.
As you can see this is not a camp spot, trailer storage for who, USFS employees ? Or are they confiscated trailers from people who left them to long or just a place so people can leave there trailer on the mtn till they come back.
There are some oldies here and that's a lot of license plates.
