We had 2 nice days of sun, then 2 rainy windy days and then 1 more nice day and when we bailed out the road was still muddy.
Our 2nd trip was August 1-5 to the Bighorn Mtns we camped on Rd 124 of hwy 14A
It was in the 70's during the day and high 40's to low 50's at night with a almost constant breeze through out the day
We saw moose and elk on this trip.
And I found a old mine.
There were a lot of campers on this road.
Our 3rd trip August 14-19 was again to the Bighorn Mtns and our old stand by site on road 124.
No one is ever in this site I guess we are the only ones that like it and that is ok with us.
There were more campers on this road this time but we only saw 1 group for 1 day only and then they were gone again.
It rained pretty good we sat inside one day and watched the water run down the road that was the day the other campers bailed.
Our 4th trip Sept 1-3 was to the BLM campground at Cottonwood Creek outside of Lovell WY
There were 3 other campers there before us and we got what I call site 4, I walked part of the canyon trail while we were there.
My wife got this cool picture of 2 jets and a sunset
I wonder if they waved at each other here ?
Our fifth trip Sept 28-30 was to the Bighorn Canyon National Recreation area, we camped at the Horseshoe Bend Campground and totally out of character for us we got a $25 a night site with electricity. We had to have the electric site since our furnace is not working right now and I wanted to try out our electric heaters, temps were in the 50's for the highs and lower 30's for the lows. We only had to share the campground with two other campers and both of them only stayed I night.
The campground
Our site
We saw very little sunshine on this trip, but it didn't rain or snow on us so that's ok.
