Hwy 212 Campgrounds

From Cody, take State Highway 120 north for 16 miles. Turn left onto State
Highway 296, Proceed about 46 miles to the junction with U.S. Highway 212.
Turn right onto Highway 212, and continue about 20 miles to the Island Lake
Campground, which will be on the left.

Beartooth Lake Campground

Dead Indian Campground

Directions
From Cody, travel north on State Highway 120 for 16 miles. Turn left (west) on
Chief Joseph Scenic Highway (State Highway 296). Travel west about 16 miles
to the campground. Be advised, steep switchbacks.



Hunter Peak Campground
Is located on the Chief Joseph Scenic Highway/State Highway 296,
approximately four miles south of the junction with scenic Beartooth
Highway/U.S. Highway 212.

From Cody, Wyo., travel north on State Highway 120 to Highway 296. The
campground is approximately 60 miles from Cody, and located on the left
side of the highway.

From the northeast entrance of Yellowstone Park or Red Lodge, Mont,
travel on U.S. Highway 212 to the junction with State Highway 296.
Take Highway 296 approximately 5 miles to the campground, which is
on the right side of the highway.

Hwy 14 Campgrounds

BIG GAME CAMPGROUND
Is located along the Buffalo Bill Scenic Byway about 29 miles west of Cody.
It is 23 miles east of the east entrance to Yellowstone National Park.
Is rated 5 stars by 52% of it's users
elevation of 6,000 feet.

west, at Wapiti Campground.

From Cody, Wyo., follow Sheridan Avenue west through Cody until the road
leaves town, and becomes Buffalo Bill Scenic Byway (U.S. Highway 14/16/20).
The campground is 29 miles west of Cody, on the north side of the highway and
next to the river. It is between Wapiti Campground and Horse Creek Picnic Area.

Wapiti Campground
Is located is located along the Buffalo Bill Scenic Byway about 30 miles west of
Cody, in northwestern Wyoming.
It is 22 miles east of the east entrance to Yellowstone National Park.

Campground to the west and Big Game Campground to the east

Is located along the Buffalo Bill Scenic Byway about 36 miles west of Cody,
in northwestern Wyoming.
It is just over 16 miles east of Yellowstone National Park's east entrance.
